When I qualified as a Walk Leader back in April last year, my plan was to run regular hikes for HA Fitness. Little did I know that it would open up so many other opportunities!
Since then, I’ve led walks across the South Downs, Surrey Hills, central London and the Isle of Wight for both corporate and charity events. It’s been great fun, and I’m looking forward to doing more.
But I’d also really love to get back to my original plan of leading small group HA Fitness walks. So, I’ve put 2 Microadventures on the calendar with more to follow shortly.
Epsom Downs & The Langley Vale Centenary Woods
Sunday 22 November, 9.30am
A 12km / 7.5 mile (approx) walk starting on the spectacular Epsom Downs Racecourse, with panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. Then we’ll make our way into the Langley Vale Centenary Wood, where we’ll discover various sculptures created to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives during the First World War. We’ll finish at the Tea Hut for some well deserved refreshments!
Sunday 6 December, 9.30am
A 12km / 7.5 relaxed, sociable circular through ancient woodland and heathland, with the potential for some great views from the top of Holmbury Hill! There’s a welcoming pub along the route, and another waiting for us at the finish (why not book for lunch?)
Book your place via our booking app Gymcatch, or drop me a line if you have and queries.
Hope to see you on the trail soon!
