Last call for HIIT Boot Camp - January 2018!

The lovely Claire is kicking off our first HIIT BootCamp of 2018 in Wimbledon Park tomorrow morning!

If you're still making your mind up about coming, now's the time to throw caution to the wind & commit!

We start tomorrow in Wimbledon Park at 6.15am (finishing at 7.00am).

Training over 5 consecutive mornings, you'll get a full body workout, combining strength, cardio, endurance, core & functional movement. You'll scorch calories & be challenged from head to toe.

But I'm not feeling very fit?

Don't worry. We'll be offering different levels to suit all abilities. Beginners, weekend warriors & serious fitness freaks are all welcome.

What if I can't make every session?

No problem. You can make up a class at one of our regular Fit In The Park classes.

But I don't want to go on my own?

You'll be introduced to all of our Boot Campers on the first day. We'll then work hard to ensure an inclusive, motivating spirit and strong sense of comradeship during the week. It'll be great fun too!

So when is it? 

  • Monday - Friday: 6.15 - 7.00am

Additional BoxFit classes added!

We've got some great news!

Our two Wednesday night BoxFit Boot Camps became booked up really quickly, and we know a lot of you were disappointed not to get a place.

So, we've now added two more BoxFit Boot Camps at Garfield School with Antonio! It’ll be every Tuesday evening for 5 weeks starting from the 9th January 2018. Scroll down to find out more, or head over to our BootCamp page to book your place.

BoxFit Boot Camp!

This 5-week BoxFit Boot Camp with Antonio is an ultra-calorie burning workout that’s guaranteed to get your heart pumping. Using boxing pads and gloves, you'll work your whole body, whilst challenging your strength, speed and endurance. It's lots of fun and a great stress buster too!

  • Times: Choose either 7.15pm - 8.15pm or 8.15pm - 9.15pm
  • Place: Garfield School, SW19 8SB
  • Dates: Tuesday evenings from the 9th January 2018
  • Cost: £54 for 5 sessions (if you miss a session, you're welcome to make it up at one of our regular Fit In The Park classes).

This Boot Camp is suitable for all levels. However, if you have any back issues, or have had a baby in the last 6 months, it won't be right for you at the moment. If you're not sure, please get in touch.

We're kicking off 2018 with our 6.15am Fit In The Park class in Wimbledon Park tomorrow morning. Why don't you join us? It'll be fun and you'll burn loads of calories, we promise.

If you can't get to that one, we're in South Park Gardens at 6.15am on Thursday, so no excuses!

Our Buggyfit classes are back in the park this Thursday too. Meet us in South Park Gardens at 9.30am and then 11.00am in Wimbledon Park.

Kettlebells BootCamp In South Park Gardens - 2 Class Special!

Due to popular demand, we've added 2 more Wednesday night Kettlebells sessions onto the timetable!

These 2 sessions will challenge your cardio system, muscular strength & endurance. Your core will be fired up and your glutes will be switched on big time. In other words, you'll burn calories and sculpt your whole body, all in one go!

We're limiting the numbers, so that we can give you individual attention based on your experience and ability. So make sure you don't miss out, and book your place today!

  • When: Wednesday 19th July and/or Wednesday 26th July

We will try to put on 2 classes for both evenings, but if we don't get the numbers (we know a lot of you are away), there will be just one class at the earlier time:

5-day bootcamp next week anyone?

As we all seem to be waking up really early at the moment, it seemed a good idea to put on an early morning 5-day HIIT BeachBody Bootcamp next week in South Park Gardens!

The goal?

To make the most of those extra hours awake, and to do some last minute work on that beach body!

Tempted to join us?

Just give us everything you've got for 45 minutes, everyday, for 5 days. Our fast-paced workouts will blast away that extra winter weight. The back-to-back sessions will both challenge and motivate you.

Who should come?

We welcome both men and ladies of all abilities to join us. It'll be a fantastic and fun way to boost to your summer fitness whatever your current level.

How does it work?

HIIT BeachBody BootCamp will run every morning from 6.15 - 7.00am in South Park Gardens from 26th June to 30th June. If you miss a class, you're welcome to make it up at our Saturday session either at 7.45am or 9.00am.

How do you sign-up?

It's just £45 for the 5 days. Book your place now!

Bookings will close for this BootCamp end of play tomorrow (Friday). This gives us the weekend to plan an amazing week for you!

Thinking about a Guiness?!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

It's St Patrick's Day today, and that can only mean one thing. Guinness tonight and it's Mother's Day next weekend!

Is Guinness really good for you? Well, a few years ago I wrote this little article about how much iron it contains and how far you have to run to burn-off the calories in one pint. Read it and you might thing twice about having some of the black stuff!

In Wimbledon Park we meet near the Revelstoke Road entrance. Just to the right of the carpark (put SW18 5HY into the sat nav. Free parking in the park).

In South Park Gardens, we meet near the Trinity Road entrance (put SW19 8QY into the sat nav. Metered parking on the road).

HIIT in South Park Gardens, 7.45am this Saturday!

Come to our last HIIT session in South Park Gardens on Saturday at 7.45 - 8.30am.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is about getting your heart rate racing, your body sweating & your muscles burning. Fast-paced exercises will torch calories & boost your metabolism. Short, timed recovery periods will enable you to keep the intensity high whilst still maintaining form.

You can use your class passes at these sessions or do pay-as-you-go. If you'd like to do the double & come to the 9.00am session as well, we'll happily give you extra training for the 30 minutes in between the 2 sessions!

We meet near the Trinity Road entrance to the park. Wimbledon, SW London SW19 8QY.

We will be running our free fitness testing the following Saturday, 15 November so make sure you fit in as many sessions as you can before then!

Abs Blast Bootcamp (Holy Trinity School Hall 1)

Power-packed abdominal strength training mixed up with calorie-crushing cardio.

Our 6-week conditioning programme will strengthen your abs, back & glutes. You'll also be doing some creative cardio drills to blitz calories & make you sweat. This hybrid approach is designed to both tone-up your abs & burn fat so that you can see & feel the results across your mid-section.

Important HA fitness class changes

7pm Thursday Fit In The Park - last class on 18 July.

We're taking the 7pm Thursday night Fit In The Park class off the timetable next week (last class on 18 July). We apologise to those of you who like this class time. Unfortunately we have to make a decision based on the level of demand. The majority of our Wimbledon Park regulars prefer seeing us before breakfast rather than at the end of the day!

Don't forget that we still have our evening class on Mondays at 7.15pm in South Park Gardens. This beautiful park is just a 5 min walk from Wimbledon station. If you're driving, there's free parking in Effra, Faraday & Clarence Roads after 6.30pm (some of the other roads are metered).

Friday Fit In The Park Class - now starts at 9.15am

You told us that the school run routine would work better if our Friday Fit In The Park class in South Park Gardens was  earlier.

So, starting from 19 July, this class will now take place at the earlier time of 9.15am.

All eyes on us

With the Tennis Championships heading our way, SW19 will soon become the sporting focus of the world again.

During this busy fortnight (24th June to 7th July), all of our classes will continue to run as normal. However, we'll be keeping well out of the way of the happy campers in Wimbledon Park by training at the top end of the park. Come in through the Revelstoke Road entrance & turn left. We'll be slightly up the hill to the left of the tennis courts.

We recommend giving your workout an extra boost by walking, running or cycling to Wimbledon Park when the tennis is on. With the usual 2 car parks closed & no parking on the local roads, your best option is to come on foot or by bike.

All of our other classes in Wimbledon Common & South Park Gardens should be unaffected, although the traffic may be a bit heavier. Surprisingly, the Windmill car park on Wimbledon Common never gets too busy, so no problem with parking for Buggyfit on Tuesdays & Fridays.

Don't let this put you off though. We've got some great classes planned & would really love to see you there. You may even bump into some famous faces!

Do you have any visitor parking permits for Wimbledon/Southfields/SW19?

Despite being a small business in the area, we're unable to get parking permits for the tennis fortnight. We'd therefore really appreciate it if anyone has a visitor permit that they could give or lend to us (with lots of kit & many sessions to train, it's not so easy to leave the car behind).

If you can help, please get in touch & we'll arrange to pick it up.

Can you squeeze in one more?

The schools are back & we're already counting how many sleeps until the summer holidays. Now's the time to do that final push for the summer. Whether you want to turn those bingo wings into sculpted pieces of art, or convert the spare tyre into something that more resembles a washboard, the best thing you can do right now is to train hard & eat well.

Have a look at our timetable below. Can you squeeze in one more session a week? Just until the summer?

Try & come along to one of our evening classes after work. It's lovely at that time of day in the park at the moment. Take advantage of the long evenings while you can & join us on:

Mondays: 7.15pm, South Park Gardens - meet in the middle of the park
Thursdays: 7.00pm, Wimbledon Park - meet near the Revelstoke Road entrance.
